Need to replace motor mounts?

Hey everyone,

I am just wondering what are some signs that I need to replace the motor mounts? I know they are an issue in our cars. Mine is a 5 speed with 97,000km. The motor torques back pretty good when starting it and I feel a bit of drivetrain lash, but I don't know if it is normal or not.

Any other telltale signs to get them replaced?

BTW, I don't know much about cars, so visually inspecting them wouldn't do a thing

visual is the best.

stick your finger into the rubber part of the mount. If you feel a rip. replace it.

look at your axels. if they are clicking or the boot is ripped. your mounts are probably shot.

other then that. IMO i think your due the stock mounts stink
