Hey all - I've trolled the posts and haven't been able to find anything on this that's suitable for a noob like me. ;)

I want to install Sirius in my 2004 3s sedan (fyi, I have the 6-disc changer), and I'm unsure as to the best installation option. I'd like to keep the factory radio, but I also want the best sound quality/hook-up I can get. What are my options? I'm relatively technically savvy, but am not really in the know when it comes to car audio jargon (PIE, etc.).

Can I get some kind of a good hook-up through the back of my factory HU? Perhaps with an adapter or something of the sort?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated! Cheers all...

if you want to keep your factory deck your best bet is to get an 05 or 06 HU from another member or surf ebay b/c that unit has a direct plug in to the factory accessory sirius system. btw the factory system is 3bills but if you can find some one who has an aftermarket hu and there stocker is layin around or who will trade with you it won't be much more of a financial commitment then the factory sat kit.... other wise i would think for best sound quality with your current deck the auxmod with some sort of aftermarket sat radio face is your best option. that will probably run in the area of 200 bills (30-60 for the auxmod and 120+ for the siruis unit)

good luck
