Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to increase my horsepower? I want to put in a turbo eventually, but right now I'm looking for some other less-costly options.

I take it you have a 1.6L? Well, there isn't much to be honest. Just save your money and go FI. Do it right the first time and you'll love it forever.

This man speaks the truth.

I've heard a lot about people bending/breaking rods with FI. Would you guys suggest putting in forged rods/pistons before I put in a turbo, or is that something that can wait?

thats in the 2.0's ... again we are guessing that you have the 1.6l since thats where you put this ... if you have the 1.6 boost is no problem ... the engine is strong as s*** and loves boost ... if you have the 2.0 then start building.

Thanks for the help. I guess I'll have to start saving my money, or just sell my soul. Anyone out there looking to buy?

Im thinking about selling my boat so I can get HIBOOST. I wish I could save.
I asked Juan if he had a lay-away program, and he said we take cc.

If you are going FI in the future save your money for FI. You have a great car dont make it a loud annoying slow car. We dont need any more attention drawn to our slow pros.

Idling problem

Hi, i am a newbie here. Recently I open up my SRI and clean the throttle body with those carb cleaner spray. The response is better after the cleaning but there appears to have a prob. Sometimes after I release the accelerator, the RPM should be gng down to idling range ard 780RPM right? But Mine after releasing gas, its ard the range of 1200RPM for a while before settling down to normal idling speed. The prob appears to be after i cleaned up the TB. So guys, wat could be wrong and most imptly, wat can be done?

some cleaner prolly got into your idle air control motor, but that shouldnt have fried it, take off the motor and inspect it, clean it out, put it on,

where is this idle air control motor?? Is it the intake air sensor at the SRI pipe? I oni spray inside the throttle body and throttle manifold... So shouldnt be that... Where is this air control motor?? Thanks alot!

right under the throttle body , its held on with 2 screws and has one electrical plug..

Thanks, I found it. I even took out the whole TB so that i can access to the 2 screws. But... the screws are too tight! Its the screwdriver kinda screws... Which is very difficult to get it out. I couldnt get it out despite full strength... Any solutions?
I installed back the TB and the prob still remains...
