Ok, so I have barely owned my new MSP for a month and I love it, so whenever I have a bad day, I drive and it makes me happy. So Im on my way home from work and take a right turn at an intersection doing 35+ and being that I have not owned this car long and dont know how to drive it...
I WRECKED! into a curb. So once I got it jacked up and took a look at It. the damage is as follows...
Bent control arm, bent swaybar link, inside left CV joint looks to be broken, strut looks to be OK, Tie rod is probably bent, i dont remember, and the steering rack is prolly skrewed! hopefully my tranny is ok due to the heavy impact.
all of this I can replace at my work, but.... I NEED A WHEEL! ASAP!!!!
does anyone have a 17" RACING HEART that they will sell me??? Im not sure how badly bent up my current one is, but its scratched to hell and needs to be replaced. I am going to grind the edge of it down and weld it back to as close as i can get untill i can get a new wheel.

so, if anyone knows anyone that has one for sale, or even where i can buy a new one, it would help alot!
thanks!

I purchased them from the dealer. I have not heard of anyone else selling them. I believe they were $365.00 US. Be sure to save the center hub, those were $55.00 each. Be sure to ask the dealer if they have any parts coupons or mid-week discounts. It saved me hundreds.

Try ebay.

Or buy a complete set of aftermarket wheels for just a little more than what it would cost for ONE wheel at the dealership.

that sucks man. i did the same thing 2 months ago except it was a really bad snow storm and i was going 10 miles an hour through a neighborhood and slid into a curb. i just got my car back a week ago today but it cost 3 grand the insurance covered it but the price of the racing hart was 421.

I got the wheel and all my parts on the way
total damage in parts so far as long as nothing else is bad is $650
Lower ctrl arm and bushings, tie rod link, Strut, Wheel, Wheel bearing.
I got it most of it through our parts distributor, but had to get the strut from Mazda and it will be in on tuesday.

Hopefully the knuckle and hub are ok too. i think so. I was suprised that the tie rod was not bent
fortunately i still havnt sold my old car and i have somthing to drive

even at 10 mph?? what tires were you running??? how much treads? and btw to the op sorry to hear that, just be extra careful from now on, im sure someone with aftermarket rims have their stocks search around, DONT buy one from dealrs or whatever, way too expensive

10 is all it needs to be!
thats pretty hard if you think about it. a 2800 pound car moving at 10 mph into a solid object that will not move.
man if I, a 170 pound man walks 2 mph into a wall, im hurtin!
i had probably slowed down to under 10 at the point of impact

you can go on ebay and get the rims and new tires for 800 and the rims are imaculate
