yep i bent like 3 rods and 2 of my pistons are shot and btw my turbo has a crack in it! i looked up pistons, rods and a turbo and it come to over 2k is it worth it? or should i just get a new engine? as far as i know any 01 to 03 2.0 fs protege engine will work they have the same internals as the MSP engine the msp just is an fs with boltons and an up graded comp. so why not just get a base 2.0 fs 01-03 engine and bolt on my stuff from the MSP engine! i need listings of where i can get an MSP engine or an 01-03 2.0 fs engine.....
thanks.

I would buy a Wagner short block assembly and a GT28rs if I were you! More like $3000 thought with the turbo.

Secto, i live in tampa. I have an LX im trying to part out. Perfect engine in it with only 17k miles on it. it would be perfect for you, close enough that you could even pick it up and save a ton on shipping. please pm me or something

What do you want for that engine?

i dont even really care anymore. im thinking about just taking off whatever easy parts i can and sending the rest to the junk yard. tried taking the tranny out yesterday and that was a real pain. just not worth the hassle of shipping and pulling out when i dont have the ability to do so. if you want id sell you the car with engine and tranny left for 1000. from tampa to where youre at is only going to be about 100 for shipping. the ecu was sold and so were the shift forks. some of the interior was sold, gauge cluster, headlights, taillights etc.

What are the specs on those rods and pistons? If they're an upgrade to stock you could quite a bit more than 15psi.

Way more, yes, but I want 15 daily for a bit then work it up. It's a fast street car, not a drag car.

Ah, I see. Yea, a dang fast street car at that. :-) Well that'll be fun once it's done and running.

ANyone no the turn around time for the short block from wagner? If already emailed them and havent got a reponse back. The reason Im asking is because Im getting my money back from racingmazda (they kept screwing me over) And Ill pay in full with that money. I really want everything done by DEC 1.

By Dec 1st? I doubt any shop will get you a short block built that fast. My race motors are usually a monuth to six weeks, and I take him all the parts, the pistons, sleeves, rings, rods and bearings. If the shop has to order the parts? look more like two months.

As a minimum, you should get the deck milled and balance the crank with the clutch attached...

Damn mike how did you end up blowing your motor? I was wondering where youve been
