Need High Performance Muffler shop in Miami

Hi again all

Plan to put a down pipe on my 08 Mazdaspeed 3 and I do not know of a GOOOD, HONEST, performance muffler shop who HAS AMPLE KNOWLEDGE on MS3 and know how to install these down pipes.

Any recommendations?? thanks

you pretty much have to go to a neighborhood muffler shop, cause meineke and and aamco wont do it cause of the catalytic converter in the dp. They dont want to take any catalytic off that is stock in the first place.

^^^ to go with what blacksheepms3 said, i've been to a couple muffler shops here in miami, and they wont do it either, miami mufflers didnt even want to try cause it looked like a mission to remove the stock downpipe.

and if you do find a muffler shop that would do it, more than likely you're not going to get any receipt for the job done there, i'd say take it to any performance shop and ask them how much would it be to install it and shop around

I HATE exhaust depot. I went there to have them make a section of mid pipe for my other car and they charged me $150 and took 3+ hours. The joining piece was 6in long and had one flange with a slight angle. Complete waste of time, I could have made that on my own mig welder....to hell with them.

On the otherhand, Miami Muffler (VRS) is flat out awesome. They made the first set of turbo pipe for my v6 MX6 a few years back and I've run several exhaust bulk buys through them. They are down by SW184th and a few blocks of US1. So, pretty far south Miami.

The guy you want to speak to is Miguel Jr., he pretty much runs the entire place now, but doesn't work on Fri. Tell him Jordan with the Green turbo MX6 sent ya, and he'll help you out.

Don't count on too many shops to make a downpipe for us, but I'd bet they would install it for you. Miami Muffler does have a CNC Plasma Cutter to make flanges and what not though....

I would just buy a downpipe, as that will probably be cheaper in the end.

I have been there, excellent but

I spoke with Miguel, he has worked on all my cars in the past but he said that he is not willing to touch the MS3 downpipe for the moment. I thought there might be another shop.

Miguel has done some excellent work on past vehicles and have been very happy. I guess I will wait until he is ready for the MS3.

I just had a test pipe made at Exhaust Depot and I thought they were awesome. Test pipe for the CX-7 is 8' long and he made two in about four hours. He has a plasma cutter to make all custom flanges too. I would hit them up and see if they are willing. No promises, but tell him Shaun with the CX-7 recommended you call...
