need help!

ok i installed a A/F gauge and had no probs with it at first!
now most times it dont want to work!
now i have a eng light come on! not sure if its from that or not cz i changed my brakes and forgot to put the little wires back in!
i now have the wires back in the brakes are now fine!
do u guy/ gals think it might be the a/f gauge and its not getting a good reading?
and can anyone show me what the a/f gauge does in ur car or atleast pics!
i have been told that its just bounces back and forth!

i installed it from the how to section! but i guess ill re-read it to make sure! or otherwise ill call my friend to re check alll wires!

ya thats a bad situation re checking stuff. 1 hour job becomes 2 and so on.
