I am looking at getting this P5 and think the price is WAY over whatI should pay. What ways should I get them to come down on the price? I have printed out KBB price at $12895 but I would like to be OTD around $13,750 with my trade in. I owe $17291 and KBB says $16,500 so I owe alittle more then what I can trade it in for.

What should I do?

Fully loaded interior, but it doesn't have leather? It looks really nice, but you should be able to talk them down to $13,500. Point out all the features it DOESN'T have and use them as points to knock down the price. "It's pretty nice, but it doesn't have leather, ABS, moonroof, etc. I really wanted those, but if you would take $13k for it, I think I could live w/out them."
Check out KBB's trade in price and see what they probably paid for it. Make sure you deal with pricing on both vehicles seperately. And don't forget to budget in sales tax (if any).

Hopefully you are negotiating price for the P5 first and everything else later.
Get them below 13k for this car or walk.
Seriously. You can do better.

I paid 15,600 for basically the same car in 2002, only difference is that I have the moonroof. Granted the miles are low, but 15k is way too high. Seems like 13k is even too high. I'd offer 10k and work from there. Worst thing they can do is say no and you negotiate from there.

i'd sell you my '03.5 P5 w/ auto and 20K for that much ;)

bought new last yr....

i got mine for 12.5g OTD, had about same miles at the time of purchase, you should be able to bargin more.... i think

note it is also an early 02 model. No side marker blinkers, rounded style wheels, no tweeters on the inside of the side mirrors, and the flip up cup holders. 02.5 was a mid season refresh, with all those. In 03, a subwoofer in the rear trunk was option. Mention you kind of wanted those bells and whistles.

I paid out the ass for my P5 and B3000 in 02 when I got them new. My trade in was a 2000 GMC Sonoma that lost $14K in value in 1.5 years, leaving me upside down by 7 grand. We left with no money down, full warranties, etc, and got out of that POS.

So you will end up paying a little more because you are upside down. Just find something around 10-13K for a used P5. The low miles are a plus on the one you are looking at though.

I got mine for $12700 delivered from a dealership in 2003. It had 6k miles on it at the time. It was the deal of a lifetime.

So yeah you can definitely get better now
