About a week ago, my stereo was stolen along with my radar dectector.
I ordered new radio(got money from insurance) kenwood x-679.
Which radio harness do I have to get in order to connect my new radio to stock plugs?
and where can I get those?
after searching forums...someone said that she got her harness from circuit city 89-7903.. is this the only thing I need to get?

Thats All You Need. All You Need To Do Is Go To Any Electronic Store Like Best Buy Or Circuit City And Ask For A Radio Wiring Kit For Your Mazda And They Should Hook You Right Up!!

That one that LisaKay got at CC was what you need...but you also need a Kenwood quick connector. It's basically a harness and reverse harness but both with a plug on each end instead of pigtails. This way you don't have to solder or crimp. PM Lisa and ask her exactly what she got. She'll let you know! :)

hm...so kenwood doesn't provide quick connector?

Kenwood's harness has wires coming from it, and the mazda harness has wires coming from it, if you don't get/can't find the quick connector one, you can simply match up colors (red/red, yellow/yellow, black/black, etc...) solder or crimp the two harness's together. Make sure you get a harness for a '01 and newer protege, though not just a plain mazda harness. 7903 is right, the plain mazda harness' (7901) are a 2-piece affair that are different.
