Need help deciding on new wheels

Howdy folks,

I own a black mica 2003 mp5 and I'm just about to go through my second set of tires (got 43k miles of the stock dunlops and a tad over 20k on kumho ecstas) and now I figure this is the best time to get new wheels if I'm ever gonna do it. I've looked at dozens and dozens of pics of members rides on this forum and on car domain and I've narrowed my search to 3 choices. I'm not a racer and I'm not a die-hard auto enthusiast as many of you are and that's probably why my choices are different from what most people have put on their mp5. Anyhow, I'm gonna go with 17 x 7 sized wheels. I'll be lowering my car 1.25 inches front & rear. I like each wheel for a different reason and that's why I can't decide. Anyhow, if you all could take a look and rank your picks and maybe post a comment on why you like or don't like each wheel, it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

Thanks,
gerald

I'd go with the r-75s out of those 3 but who am I? Our cars are lowered the same amount & I'm running on 205/40/17s. Fully loaded with people and/or cargo & no rubbing at all. Tire calc says when speedo says 60 I'm really doing 59.4. If you go with 215/40/17s, 60 will really be 60.2 but not sure if they will touch or not when fully loaded.

I run 215/40/17 and it is fine. I don't rub at all. I think my wheels are 45mm offset, and they're 17x7.

In the rims/tires/suspension forum there is a really good fitment guide so taht you can be sure you won't rub.

Oh and as for my opinion on the wheels, I think the third ones would look pretty cool, I can't say I'm a fan of the first two. Definitely do what makes you happy though.

i like the first one clean and simple. not to much going on you know what i mean. but my first rims where multi spokes and they where a b**** to clean.....

Thanks for all the honest replies. I forgot to consider what a beeotch it's going to be to clean a multi-spoke rim. The 1st choice has a lot of indentions and rivets. The stockers are low maintenance, but I'm sick of stock. The 3rd choice only comes in +40 offset so I'm gonna have to roll the fenders to make it work. If only I could see all 3 wheels in person, that would definitely help in making a choice. I'll probably ask my graphic design gf to photoshop the wheels onto my car to get an idea of how they'll look. Thanks again. This forum kicks a$$(rockon)

Not feeling any of those. I think Racing Harts look sexy on P5's, what about getting a used set of those?
