I just bought the 17x7.5 Sportmax 001s...Thought I was the only one that bought em...I like gunmetal or black...

the sportmax 925s are 17X7s with a 42 offset with a 215/40 tire. anybody think i will have any issues as far as rubbing or any kind of fittment issue? also i'm kinda new to tire sizing so a 215/40 would be a lower profile than a 215/45 correct? will a 215/40 tire look good on a 17 inch rim? sorry for the barrage of questions just trying to get all my info before i go ahead and spend 800 bucks. thanks

On the sedan, I doubt you'd rub. On the P5 there's a good chance you would with some load in the rear, but the sedan has more fender in the rear than the wagon.

last I checked 40 is less than 45, so yes.

Pretty sure it's what I've got. Looks good.
sorry for the barrage of questions
You should be

:p

ok so i have two for the silver rim (the first picture) and one for the gunmetal (the second). i think i may be leaning toward the silver becuase i my car is black and i don't think i'm liking the black on black. oh and another question about tires....215/40s or 205/40s? maybe the 205s will be too thin?

I don't like the look of 205/40 tires. I much perfer my 215/45/17 tires.

too skinny width wise and too low profile. Just doesn't "look" good.

ok i'm really really stuck here and i don't want to buy a rim that i am going to regret. i need advice on which rim to put on my car. they will be 17s. so will 17s look alright on my vehicle as far as not being too big for the car because i do not plan on lowering it? 5 spoke or 7 spoke? photoshop for me anyone?

ok....i guess nobody. i ended up buying the 7 spoke sportmax (xxr) rims from edgeracing.com. i hope they do look good. i'm just torn on whether i should get 40 or 45 profile tires. i have seen the 40 profile tires on this rim and it does look really good but the 45 would be a safer bet on not bending the rim when i hit a bump (i hate NY roads). any advice would, again, be greatly appreciated.thanks
