Need help cel on!

I have a 2010 ms3 for about 3 months, my mods are su tip, Cobb Sri, Cpe dp w/ hf cat. Every thing was fine till I deleted a resonator. A day after I deleted the resonator the cel came on. Anyone have any ideas? Pls help!
 
O2 Sensor? What is the CEL it threw? Do you have a Dash Hawk or anything? Seems like a lot of mods for such a new car, did you even break it in?
 
Yea it's got bout 2.5k on it no dash hawk, both o2 sencors are fine. The obd2 I was using couldn't read it cos it was a 2010. I read some that the new 2010's read the airflow diff. When using a down pipe but I'm not sure?
 
I have seen some mention of the COBB intakes giving CELs on another forum after several drive cycles.

The resonator deleted could have been a coincidence with the light coming on.

You need to get the code if possible. From what I have seen it should be a lean at idle or lean off idle.

the code is p0171, and it says, "system to lean bank 1"

i have the same issure with u and the same mod u got.but i reset 3 time of the ecu, it came out with different codes? all these happened after PTP PCV installed. i had those setup for 10K no problem at all(im ok with the smoke). i
 
Yeah the Cobb intake has an oversized MAF Housing (relative to stock) and that P0171 code indicates you're in the 20% Long Term Fuel Trim with high short term fuel trims as well. No way to fix it other than reducing that inside diameter. Maybe shove an appropriately sized silicone hose in the MAF Housing to reduce the diameter. Otherwise, buy an intake that was built to work on your car. Ours runs an average of 6% for LTFT with the sizing we chose on the housing ID.

I got the same code today p0171, got 3k on the clock, corksport tip,mazdaspeed/aem cai, second cat delete...wtf!!!
