doesn't the fuel cut defender and FM voltage clamp do the same thing? just buy one of thiers, they have plenty.

i mean, its activated by the onset of boost and modifys the signal from the o2 sensor so the ECU doesn't pull fuel. same deal, no?

Two different things.. If this is the one I am thinking of- it works off O2 feedback so it doesn't go lean under boost on converted turbo proteges- it is irrelevant to the "boost cut" that the FCD is designed to prevent.

So can you adjust the FCD to make is so it NEVER lets boost cut occur? I know I personally will never boost high enough to do that, but I would think that the FCD would let you make it completely block boost cut if so desired.

It's good to use it in the winter if your running over 8.5 pounds of boost so that you don't hit cut with the dense air. That's the reason why I purchased it. I want to run 10psi without that damn cut...its annoying.

can somebody explain me what a Fuel Cut feels in the mazdaspeed? I want to know if what Im experiencing is a fuel cut or else.

It goes like this.

Acceleration, boost hits critical point (10psi) , then BANG! feels like you hit a wall.

Thanks, then thats not what Im experiencing in my car! It just goes lean in high rpms, feels like not boosting at all, temps go up, feels like some hesitation.
