Just put a new fuel pump in. My other one crapped out on me

The sending unit that pulls out of the tank, that the pump goes into.
The 2 parts on the for the 2 hoses snap into.
Should any of those be able to pulled out?

The one that the gas goes out of is tight on the unit. Doesn't move.
But the return one is lose. I can pull it right out.

My car won't start with the new pump. Is it because I pulled that out by mistake? Cause it almost looks like its suppose to snap back on. But it doesn't.

Heading to the junk yard right now to get one.

had mine out this week and the return line as well as feed line should not have been removable. not sure if that would cause the car to not run as it sounds like the one you pulled out is the return line.

Yeah its the return line.
The issue is, I ran a line out of the top of the pump because it wasn't starting and I wanted to see if fuel was coming out.
It is coming out. But its not shooting out like I would expect. It kinda just falls out.

So someone told me that because its not tight on the top, its not getting the pressure. Its getting to much air because the return line part is lose.
