Need an opinion on this combo

Hi all I was wondering if I were to get the autoexe grill and the dowforcers. Can both be put on...? Would I have to drill holes in the autoexe grill to slip on the downforcers? Thanks.

You can probably call DG Motorsports to find out. I'm sure they've tried it. That was my plan too.

uh, what?!? :wtf:

the grill and the down-forcers are to completely independant items. the grill replaces that thing attached to your bumper in between your head lights, and the down forcers go underneath your bumper. you can put one on, and not the other, or you can put both on, or you can put niether one on. the only thing you have to drill with the down forcers is your bumper, and you are drilling the futhest point on your bumper you can get from the grill.

I'm pretty sure he meant the front lip and the down forcers. It was pretty obvious to me at least.

My mistake.......

Writing code and posting a message....not a good combo. I mean't autoexe lip... not grill.....am quite aware of the difference...just had the word grill on my mind....it is lunch time...here...:p

ok. i thought that's what you meant, too, i just wanted to increase my post count a little today.

i am not so sure you will be able to do what you want to do. i don't think the lip has enough 'meat' under it to mount the down forcers. you might talk to DG and find out if they will accept a return if it doesn't work.

Had the same thought here myself. But I was afraid of having to drill through the CF lip to mount the downforcers. Also one thing that worried me was that if you attached the downforcers and then just the downforcers got clipped or hit or knocked or whatever(normal driving or autoX) then what would happen to the lip. I would think that if hit right the downforcers would in turn mess up the lip. Would be more than a little mad if a $180 part screwed up a $400 part. Maybe I am way off here but if you talk to DG let us know what they say. As of right now I am debating between the lip alone or the downforcers alone. Also saw just a Lip splitter on a MP3 at Nopi. It was CF and was basically downforcers that ran the entire length of the front bumper and hung out slightly on the sides. I am searching for the pics of it but I think that I only got it on video.

Question for people with the lip. Have you had any rubbing or scrapping issues when driving on a lowered P5. Entering driveways etc..... A friend with a civic has been through like 4 of the Spoon CF front lips. His car is lowered 1 1/2" in front. I know bad comparison but just wondering. that would be alot of money to spend to drag on the ground.
