Need Advice - Looking at a 2015 CX-5 Monday, Dec. 23

Hello,

As the subject line states I'm looking at a CX-5 tomorrow. This is the GT and it has 155k miles so I'm concerned about maintenance needs. Of primary concern is the need for the front end to be rebuilt as there is no indication this work has been performed in the CarFax and it is always expensive. Not even a record for A/C work. Oil changes are well documented but the mileage accumulated between these vary. The draw for me is that it is a single owner vehicle.

Can any owners here give me milestone estimates for specific maintenance tasks?

Thanks for your assistance.

There should only be a record for work if the car needed it. There's no front end work that adheres to a schedule. Alignments when tires are replaced is recommended. A/C gets work when it don't work.

I'd make sure there weren't any accidents. What about plugs, coolant, diff fluid (if AWD), engine filters, trans fluid, transfer case fluid, brakes & fluid, etc. Did any of this show up in the Carfax?

Sounds like the car didn't need anything except fluid changes. If the car was driven easy then it shouldn't of needed much beyond normal maintenance.

We have a 2016.5 touring that's at 190k miles now. Original AC has never been touched as well as front end (control arms, stabilizer bar links, etc) untouched. Oil changes, brakes pads/rotors, spark plugs, belts. That's it so far and runs perfect (knocks on 🪵 wood ! Haha)
