2003.5 MSP
Hey guys, I am looking to make carbon fiber and carbon kevlar cold air intakes and/ or short ram intakes for the P5 and sedan. I would look to charge between $175 and $200, with the initial sale between $150 and $175 (just like the msp).

As you can see here http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1645691 I already make carbon fiber and kevlar stuff for the MSP, and would like to branch off into more vehicles.

The tester needs to be somewhat close to South Bend, IN.

Compensation will be a free CAI or SRI, and you would just have to buy the couplers and filter (which I can hook you up with a good price on- my cost - between 20 and 50 depending on what filter you want).

I don't check the P5 board as often as the MSP board, so be sure to PM me as well.

Man, i would love to test the CAI and i drive a lot.....i am in Central Mass though!

How long would you need the tester car? one day...one weekend...?

I would need it for sure for a couple of hours the first time. I would be fitting up some pre-bent steel or aluminum pipes, and cutting to length.

After that, I would make a fiberglass replica, and ask the tester to try that out (can be done by mail and digital camera). If that fits, then the process is done!

But, if the design needs some tweaks, then a second meeting would be required and then a new fiberglass replica would be sent out.

After the fitment is determined to be satisfactory, I would then make a carbon fiber copy and send that out to be test fitted.

So, in short, one meeting if we're lucky, two to three if we aren't!!!

I live in NJ, n piscataway is darn close to marlboro, I 've used a ractive SRI and swapping an Injen CAI in, but I will sign up to be a tester. I drive 100 miles every weekend and around half an hour per day.

I'll do it

I live in Ann Arbor, MI. 2 1/2 hr drive, but i'm willing to make it. I have a 2003.5 P5 w/ the stock intake.

Hey I'd definitely like to do this. You might remember I PM'ed you before when you were developing the initial MSP versions about being a tester for the P5. I was interested then and more than interested now hehe. I'd prefer testing out the SRI though as that's what I intend to be buying! I'm in the Chicago area, so visiting is not an issue. I'm also big into photography, and can hopefully get you some great looking pictures + perhaps even a video or two.

Anyhoo, let me know!

Lord Zath can have the SRI and I'll take the CAI, even though it will take longer to test fit and what not. I will also be able to take plenty of pictures for you.

So, is this thread dead now? Did you already find people to help you out or did you just decide not to do it?

i hope you make this for the p5, cuz a carbon kevlar intake like on your site would be better than the boring AEM sri im considering (engine bay looks wise- for shows)

Woops, I haven't checked this thread in a while- I am going to go with Lord Zath as the fitter, since it was his "nudging" in my MSP threads that made me think to do a P5 intake.

I have recieved a few PM's, and there is a possibility that I will be needing another person to test the opposite of whatever Lord Zath chooses (CAI or SRI), assuming both are feasible. But, I think its safe to say that I have received all of the offers I need- thanks guys! I hope to have everything going around the end of june or early july, depending on how the testing goes, so keep your eyes peeled!
