Need a center cap

I found a center cap missing Friday. The dealer said they didn't know which part number the MP3 ones are but there are 3: one at $24, $27, and $70. I'm betting the MP3 one is at $70 based on what I've read in here. I've had no luck with junk yards (they all want to sell the whole rim, which I really can't afford).

Is there any chance anyone on here is interested in selling one / some?

The center cap for the wheels?
If so, they are screwing you. The little peice with the MP3 logo cost me $15 at the dealer

I need the whole center cap, metal part and all (see the pic). But yeah, that's the part.

Who was your dealer? Maybe they'd be more helpful than mine (not that that would be hard lately or anything).

Thats it

Talarico in Manchester NH.
Its seems like month to month they are great or retarded.

Threads

Make sure your threads are not stripped before you install the replacement....
I just bought mine too (dealer/friend) for C$40.00 but the MRSP is C$70

There are 2 screws that hold it on... I'm going through a situation now where I am looking to either enlarge the holes because mine are stripped or look at an alternative method of installing it.

Just my two cents.

Thanks, jnight99, I'll check on that.

I didn't get to call Talarico today, but finally got a real answer from Diamond (sort of). Whatever they're trying to sell me (we're still not 100% sure they were even the right parts) was a 2-piece thing - one part at $40 (the Racing Hart / MP3 logo) and the other at $70 (the actual metal part) for a grand, federal-pound-me-in-the-ass total of $110 USD (plus tax, of course).

(shocked)(shocked)(shocked)(shocked)

Needless to say, I didn't buy.

I'm calling Talarico tomorrow.

Alrighty, I talked to Talarico and got essentially the same information ... so after some discussion w/ my local parts guy, I decided to get the cheap one only (something like $40 or so). It's part number BN7H-37-192. I picked it up today and it is the correct part. It includes the metal bit, logo medallion, 2 bolts, and a tool to tighten them. So now that that's resolved, I feel much better.

Just for grins, I checked my other center caps as well (the rear ones). One was already missing a bolt and the other was ridiculously loose as well. Needless to say, everything's been tightened down w/ thread locking compound. I do NOT feel like buying another one of these any time soon. (headshake
