NB v. NC vid

The NC in the video has some funky handling characteristics because it looks like its a sport model with the suspension package. Ive seen a dyno that the bilstein shocks on that model are actually softer then stock. They also travel moreso there is alot of body roll. Heres the link for the dyno: http://www.good-win-racing.com/mazda-talk/viewtopic.php?t=104&highlight=bilstein+dyno. I went with the mazdaspeed springs, swaybars and shocks and the car handles like a dream now.

I think that it was definitely a good comparison of the cars "out of the box" The NC definitely has such a nice powerband and has a really good stock braking system. The tires and suspension could use some work. I definitely feel that the NC is more nervous in the corners than my old NA - but I'm taking the corners way faster than I ever did in the NA. I'm hoping that they'll work out the suspension someday for a mazdaspeed NC.

Regardless - I took the NC out for a 2 hour fun run today and it is one FUN car to drive! The first miata that I don't mind driving on the highway - but certainly lives up to it's corner loving livery. If I was driving competitively - I agree that the suspension leaves something to be desired - but for the little spirited driving that I do - I think that it's just fine. Someday I'll switch out for the mazdaspeed springs/sways/shocks. (when I feel like getting a new car - since I've heard that the transformation is amazing - but I'm loving the car as it is now, so why change something good?)

I think the NB is the best balance between roadster rawness and refinement.... the NC is too watered down for me, it feels big, and the visibility for me sucks compared to what I get from the NA and NB.... the NC handles like ass for stock too.... maybe it'd be better once it's lowered... but I'd take an NA or NB over the NC any day

I just dont like the new design for the NC. It just doesnt seem to capture the essence of the NA and NB. Personally i think the NA and NB are much better than the NC.
