Nasty Accident (56k probly not)

This is my roomate's friend's car...she was driving ~60mph on less than one month old tires and had a blow out for an unknown reason.... all i can say is thank god she was the only one in the car (see passenger seat in pic 1)

thankfully she walked away with no major injuries, but damn nasty wreck

yeah thankfully shes pefectly fine, the two pics that made me cringe were the seat skeured and pushed outside of the car and the gaurd rail right through the center console, i didnt even think something like that was possible

Holy crap, that's insane! Glad to hear she is ok, never seen anything like that before. I would go straight to the tire manufacturer about that, and I'd also speak to the city about that guard rail too. Why does it just end at a point like that??? If it didn't end at a point like that, the cost on the damage would be way down.

not really sure...but i know that they are looking into what exactly caused the blow out cuz like i said they were apparently fairly new tires... i know if it were me i would be going after that tire company for every penny i could get

also, from what my roomate told me, the gaurd rail was intact before the accident... i think the jeep slammed into it so hard that it broke off and then went right through

Serious lucky no one was hurt, she could have easily had her arm near the shifters or been thrown on that side when it came through. Bejesus!

holy s***, ive seen a lot of accidents, and only 3 with things (trees, gaurdrails, ect) have gone into the passenger cabin, now ive seen 4.

good question now that I look at it, both pass side tires look fine, its hard to see the rear drivers side but it looks ok, and the front drivers side is damaged, but it looks like damage from a crash, and not like any blow out i have ever seen........hrmmm

from those pics, all 4 tires look O.K.
