looking to do an na build that will occasionally see nitrous. I know an ems is very important and will be purchasing one but what other types of info do you guys have. i would like to see 200+hp on the motor not spraying

there are many things you can do, but high compression and n2o - first thing you should look at is rods. you'll kill your engine in no time without forged rods.

lighter flywheel
underdrive pulley
intake / header / catless pipe / exhaust
intake manifold
reworked head, ported with a valve job
engine management
get rid of air conditioning
custom ground or jdm camshafts

the list i put up? depends on how well you had the engine management tuned and what compression you were running.

It's cheaper to turbo build and you will gain hundreds of HP, not Tens of HP..

well i knew i needed to go with all forged internals but who does head work to our heads? and as far as cams i was going to see if twilightprotege could get me a set i seen the group buy but it was full and im still waiting on funding. and as far as doing this setup i just wanted to do somthing diffrent and i havent seen ne one yet to do a setup like this with the nitrous.

imo i'd leave the head alone for a while other than cams and springs. not a huge amount to be gained there. spend the money on a top of the line exhaust, quad throttle bodies and microtech before you look at head work.

depends on how extensive you want it. we have a ported core here for about $899 plus shipping. it would need the valve job done to it.

LOL, yes K20A. Pretty much the only engine that easily obtains 200whp without serious internal modifications.
