well here is my dyno comparing my best stock run versus my best intake run. The only changes to the car between these two runs is the injen CAI intake. Ill put the temps down also since that probably made a big difference. hell just look at the difference between the air intake temp. Also I do NOT have the flash.

Stock
Temp for city - 38hi / 33lo
barometric pressure - 29.20 in.hg
vapor pressure - 0.16 in.HG.
intake air tempature - 47.3 F
correction factor - 0.97 SAE

Day of the Intake

Temp for city - 70hi / 60lo
barometric pressure - 29.14 in.HG
vapor pressure - 0.43 in.HG
intake air tempature - 70.8 F
correction factor - 1.01 SAE

If anybody knows that that means can you clue me in please. but here is the dyno. Click the link for a big picture.

So you gained 2hp lost 9lbs of torque with the injen....Definitely a good mod!!! :P

Other way around there man!!
no he is right. the red line is stock 149 horse 167 torque. the blue line is the intake 151 hors 157 torque. I'm thinking of taking it of for the summer. its gets humid in KC.

no he is right.. look at the dates... but it proves nothing other than how important intake temperature is.

*edit* damn you .... beat me :p

Sorry my bad, I wasn't looking close enough. But like the last person said, it does only prove what ambient air temp does to our cars. Even with my fmic I can tell a big difference between hot and cold temps.

not really a good comparison as the temperature, etc was so different...

these both needed to be done back to back on the same day...

All i can say is those are some terrible powercurves. I wish someone would hurry up with some management to get a more linear power curve

i wonder how much power we loose with the stock intake in the humid air compared to the nice cold air. And dont worry guys i didnt start this thread to bash the Injen intake. it was just a referrence point, once i looked at my old dyno and relized how cold it was that day, i could tell why i lost power compared to back then. Time for a FMIC, exhaust and put my boost controller back in.

Not really a good comparision...look at the diffrence in intake temp? I dont think your intake temp is gonna be anywhere near 47 degrees with Injen on a day that around 70 degrees. good dyno just wrong dyno atmosphere to compare the 2.

exactly, like he said, if you use this dyno for anything, use it mainly to see how bad outside air temp effects our cars performan. hell my buddies SRT4 with an intake lost 10hp and 20 tq from the temp difference.
