So you think yours is the best? I'm researching stereos for my car, what are your suggestions?

yeah, i suggest you post what your goals are;) and "best" is such a bad term to use for stereo's:( it's opinionated for the most part.

are you having all this installed professionally, or are you or someone you know going to install/build everything? what's your budget? how much custom work are you willing to have done?

best at spl, best at sq, best install? generally there really isnt one best in all. usually the ones with the best installs arnt the best sounding, and the ones that sound the best or hit the hardest generally won't have the best install. what are u looking for?

His installer is considered on eof th ebest on the east cost. Certainly one of Tweeters top 10.

This system looks pretty nice, in a non-flashy, kiss (keep it stock stupid) sense, but I wouldn't use it to gauge anything as being "the best".

It utilizes stock speaker locations, except for the tweeters which are nicely placed. It leaves some room in the trunk. Components are highlighted nicely with plexi.

However, the amp looks like it may overheat. (can't tell if there is ventilation though). I don't like the exposed wires personally when your amp floats there isn't much you can do. And my biggest concern is even though the trunk is usable, the subwoofers are exposed. Place a suitcase in that trunk and you will end up with scratches, and possibly a tear in the subs.

If I were to do the install myself, I would strive for this kind of install, if I were to pay someone to do my install, I would expect a little more. However, I'm a DIYer by nature. I'm sure this installer has done more elaborate installs, I'm not knocking this install, I just don't think it falls into "the best" category.

That ID install was sick. I'm very impressed with those guys...another company that I've been looking forward to hearing. Very nice!

that is a pretty clean install. kind of typical of what a decent competiton install takes. some people can't understand all the extra work that goes into a car getting it ready for competiton, ive spent a month on just working on wiring and sound damping. saddest thing, is most of the hard work you do, people won't even notice or even see.

those of us that know how much work goes into it appreciate and respect it;) you coming to spring break nationals this year? i'm getting certified as an iasca judge, so i'll be judging SQ saturday and SPL sunday (yippy)

no, i was planning on hitting usaci hard this year, but now that we got a house with a 3 car garage, and i plan on buying the mazda 3 for a third car this year, i'm thinking of redoing the interior of the car completly and putting the amps where the back seat was instead of the trunk like i had planned on last spring, just moved from cincy to indy for a new job. and built a house so i havnt been able to work on the car at all. kind of sucks, but now that the sunfire won't be a daily driver i'm thinking a custom fiberglass dash and console and rear area will be nice to have. just sucks ihave had these id subs and custom painted kicker amps for a year now and i've still yet to get the system going lol.

More pics please. I am in the middle of my install (long process) and always like seeing an install in the making and the final product.
