My sentra is gone and a pretty STi replaced it.

Well this s*** sucks. I got the call I thought I would. The dealership called back and said that the numbers would not work so I had to return the car. They did that next day BS where they call and say we can still do it but your payment will be higher. What BS I am so pissed, but you know I was all over that car on the way back to the dealer. So much for the break in period. I feel bad for the guy who buys it after me cause I was beating it all the way back to the dealer. Well I guess this means I will be buying a used evo or sti. We'll see.
oh that sucks man. so how was the sti when u drove it hard ? u shouldve raced ur msp, u have the perrin fmic and other mods too right ? btw is that se-r spicy orange ? good luck and IMO i think the sti is better then the evo (atleast the boxer engine sounds better:))

No point in racing the speed and the STi. It would have been no challenge, the sti was way quicker. The se-r was aztec red. I went ahead with a used evo. It's in the garage now. 9,000 miles and in damn good condition.

I am up on the air on which is better. The STi was brand new so the tires were perfect and the steering was perfect. The evo has 9000 miles and is a little more broken. The tires are worn a little and the suspension feels a little rougher. But as of now i will reserve my opinion.

Saw the STi...nice! New car smell is awsome he just got out of the dealer. Form what I heard hes keeping the STi Stock and moding the MSP.

Besides you see way to many moded STi's a Modded MSP will turn more heads and be more unique.

So after driving both and already knowing that performance wise they are like twins in every aspect, I feel I have a better car in the EVO. The STi has a far better interior, the evo has superior handeling, the STi has a lot more power down low, The Evo kills when ig gets up in the rpm's, The STi has a lot of room for improvement when it comes to braking, The evo stops on a dime. The STi felt faster because of the low end power but once the evo hits boost you know you are moving. The evo will hit sixty with just one shift, but the STi requires a second to third shift to hit sixty the same reason the EVO mr is slower 0-60 than the EVO VIII. The STi is very expensive to get power out of. The EVO is a tried and true design that has a lot of aftermarket support and the 4g63 can handel 350awhp on the stock turbo and 400awhp on the internals. I don't know if the same can be said for the STi. Both are awesome cars and have advantages over the other, but for me I feel the EVO is a better choice.

They pulled my loan on the STi and I had to return it, I beat the s*** out of it on the way over to return it, then I went ahead and picked up a used blue EVO, look on page two for pics. As far as modding goes the evo has way too much potential to not mod. Until the warranty is up I will only do things that are simple to remove, tb exhaust, intake and maybe a couple of other little things, but after the warranty is up hello cams, cam gears, boost controller, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, ems and hardpipes. Hopefully that will get me around the 300awhp mark after all even if I get the mazdaspeed to 350whp it will still not grip and the best times are like high 12's. With a few simple bolt ons the EVO will run high 12's, and with 300awhp a lot quicker. We shall see how it works out.

There is no pulling this one. I financed this and was trying to lease the sti because it was so much more expensive. You have to have a much higher beacon score to get a lease instead of a loan. So I can go ahead and start doing my basic bolt on's till the warranty is up and then I can go crazy.

why did u say the EVO is easier to tune ? i thought the sti was gonna be easier since it has a bigger displacement

Thanks buddy you didnt have to be a dousche bag about it. I could do without the wise ass comment. Same goes to brianmcd.

Sorry, I didnt read the whole thread. I just wanted to comment on the guys new STi...didnt bother reading the thread.

Geeesh get the sand out of your cooch for god sake. And I wonder why I dont go on here and post anymore.(dunno) Honestly what is this? SRTforums? Whats with the Mazdaspeed Nazis...a Simple statment saying he got a evo should have done the job but no, we had to be wise asses. Just for you I wil analyse and read every single word in every single thread before posting, okay?

strongbearO just as good dont really see blue that much...I like it! See you around! I would definately love to see both cars at the next Mazda Meet.

BTW in your opinion do you think a SRT-4 can beat a 2004 EVO VIII from a roll? I have someone who would like to test that theory out. I know the 2005 EVO VIII come with ACD and AYC standard. Was wondering if it makes a huge difference when running in a straight line. If all goes well he'll test it out against a MR and 2004 EVO.
