My new speaker job!

Man I had alternator whine, so I have a ground wire routed next to the power wire to the battery.
Do you have tweeters?
if so check that ur speaker wire is far away from the feed to the fuse box!

Ok, went into my shop the other day and sat with the lead sales guy and two techs and we seem to have figured out that the factory deck sucks. Hence the noise. Not much to do except adjust the gain structure to null it out. May upgrade the ground on the factory deck if I can figure out how to get to it. Or bring it to the rear ground point.

At any rate... Here's some pics of the trunk now. Have to build a false bottom for it now cus the Kinetik cell sits way too high.

I'm really loving it. I got it re-tuned last night with better gain staging, and on the ride into work this morning it sounds much tighter. Had to dial down the sub quite a bit to get it to tighten up, but it really kicks now. A little MSTRKRFT was really running through my chest, but Melody Gordot and some Baroque still sounded nice and clear and articulate. I'm pleased.

More pics when I get the false floor built!

New update! Mre pics to follow, but I replaced the little 8W3 ported box with the much larger 10w3v3 high output wedge. Wow... Talk about serious output clean bass. Not quite as stealthy now, as a good chunk of my trunk space has disappeared, but it's worth it ;-)

False floor has been built so the whole trunk looks mostly stock, just a bit higher up.

I actually took my antenna off of my 2003 Suzuki Aerio SX before the tow truck took it away and it fit perfectly on my mazda 2 and it works great. Looks better!
