My New RX-8!! (56k beware)

JF1GD2 - I can definitely say it's not extremely slow! Did you drive the automatic or something!

I drove the 6 MT both times. The first was a yellow one, the second a red. If I am not mistaken, the redline was 9,000. The gauges were an extremely bright white.

Among the other complaints I have of it beyond it's apparent lack of go-power are: an extremely cramped cockpit (I'm really tall, but don't use that against me, my WRX fits me with no trouble), the other was a transmission problem. I didn't have any problems shifting but when I was at a stop light at a traffic signal and shifting in and out of 1st (with the clutch pushed in of course) it was hard to put it into first, and when it did go in it grinded and made a very pronounced sound at that. Even my friend on the test drive brought it up without me having to say it.

you know, only people that are insecure about their own car will go out on a limb and bash someone else's car

have you been killed by a superior car lately??? that may explain why you're in here just plain bashing for no apparent reason.

funny...coming from a guy with a car that has less than half the WHP and WTQ as me :p

:wtf: eh? What does that have to do with anything? You guys got real close to flamewar, so I said so. How the car I drive has anything to do with it, you got me. How's this for an appropriate response: I fly an aircraft that can carry about 10 of what you drive. Does that make me the better man or something?

Tell me: why do people like to take things personally, and then (attempt to) insult to compensate?

Back to the topic: I test drove the RX8 a couple times, and I got it up to 120 the second time, thanks to the small size of the town in Oklahoma I tested it in. It didn't take long to get 120mph. I really enjoyed it. As for the interior, it felt much better to me than the Z, in every aspect. Though I have heard that anyone with longer torsos brush their head on the roof with the moonroof installed. I am an average 5'10".
