My new rides...Mazda6 & Mazda3

:
Mazda 6s Lapis Blue / Mazda3 5-door Sunlight Sliver
Sup everyone! Just wanted to say hi and see if I could get my sig to work. I purchased a Mazda6 s (lapis blue) for my wife in Nov. and I just purchased a Mazda3 5-door (Sunlight Silver) for myself. I get to pick it up Sat. The M3 has 5-speed, interior trim package (red), premium floor mats, homelink mirror, and bumper step plates. I purchased the car through the S-plan, so I paid $8 below invoice (cool). Both these cars are awsome and they blow all the competition away. Say good night Civic owners... (gun). I will post pics if people would like, once I pick up my car that is.

purty!

very nice car! ... since you live near me (I'm in Sandy Springs...) did you get the car under invoice at Jim Ellis, or Mazda of Roswell (or some other place I don't know about)? Maybe we'll see each other cruising around northern ATL.

I got the car at Roswell Mazda. I only got below invoice because I work for Georgia Pacific and qualified for the "S-Plan". Mazda (Ford) offers this to their employees, or employees of companies that they sponsor.

Can you give us more information about this "S-plan"?

I bought my P5 with the S-Plan by registering and competing with MazdaComp.

The way it was explained to me, there are two 'Plans', an 'S' and an 'E'. The E is for Ford Execs and higher ups, while the S-Plan is for Ford/Mazda employees. The S-Plan was extended to MazdaComp folks at the end of the year last year.

The S-Plan savings is on the invoice, it's a no-haggle price. The same number for the same options no matter what dealer you go to. The savings was around $2k for my $17k P5. The S-Plan also lets you take any cash back or special financing.

ah, same dealer as me... I got charged right around invoice... but then again I am a 22 year old with mediocre credit... and I wanted everything to be warrantied and extended warrantied (stupid VW's... make you think that everything is going to break). And, they gave me about $2000 more for the aged wonky golf than I thought they would

You are gonna have so much fun come Saturday (yes)... and the Andretti speed lab is so conveniently close by...

There are only 2 plans offer by Ford. They are the "X-Plan" and the "S-Plan". The "X" is used for Ford cars and the "S" is used for Mazda cars. They are the same plan, just have different names to differenciate them between manufactures. To qualify for either of them, you have to be employed by Ford (or a Ford owned companies like Mazda) or work for a company that is sponsored by Ford. You can find out if your company offers this benifit through their Human Resource group. There are not a lot of companies that do this and the majority of them are considered very large corporations (like the company I work for, Georgia Pacific). I'm pretty sure this is correct, but someone can say otherwise if it isn't.

Well, having purchased a few cars with the Ford discount here is how it works. X plan is the discount plan for direct Ford employees. S plan is for the supplier discount. The S plan is 4% above the X plan price. This is for Ford Vehicles, I am currently looking into what the discount is for Mazda but it should be close. By the way, all rebates are added onto the discounted price. I just purchased a Dodge Ram pickup and saved about 9k off sticker with the discount and rebates.

I got my Protege using the S-plan when I worked for Ford Vehicle Insurance last year. Sure wish I was still considered a Ford employee, now that I'm looking at other Mazdas...

Kain, How much did you save off sticker with the S plan. I was just using our company's connection to Mazda and they do not show you the price you actually pay on that plan like Ford does. I suspect it would only be about 1500 or so on a 19,500 car but want to be sure.

Thanks

I payed $11,500 for my '03 Protege LX back in June of 2003, before TTL. If you're a Ford employee and want to buy a Ford, you can (or could back a year ago) go to Ford's X plan website and it'll tell you how much the X plan price is for, say, a Mustang GT or Ranger Extended Cab. Mazda's whole involvement was kinda like an afterthought, which is why it's almost a crapshoot as to how much you'd be saving with the S plan.

And it was to my great disappointment that the S plan wasn't available on Mazdaspeed vehicles. Then again, I don't think X is available on SVTs, but I could be mistaken.

The S-plan is only usefull when the car you want is selling close to MSRP. Most people are paying $600 above invoice on the Mazda3, so in this case, the S-plan really helps out. But in most cases you can negotiate lower than what you could get on most cars.

I got my mazda3 on the S plan also i work for ZUA autoparts we build fords stearing gear and power stearing pump we also build for mazda,VW,BMW,Benz,Nissan, GM, Dodge and subaru

So let me get this ,,, you have a 6 and a 3 outside your home ? Thanks Fuc*&## sweet!!!!!!!!!!
