Thats what I thought. I bought my MSP which has a CAI previously installed on it (unknown to me). My car blew up 5 days after I took delivery of it and Mazda voided my warrenty even though the car had 15k miles on it and was bone stock. I wouldnt take the chance. Mazda wanted 7k for a new engine and labor. Can you afford that?

I'll sue... i'm payin money for that warranty... they are robbing my money, i'll sue them and get my car fixed... im not gonna be no puss and let that slide... **** no... when i buy something, i try to keep as good as new always...

like my 99 protege... never let anybody **** wit it... always changed the oil on time, never late on payments... they gonna give me 3k for it... why? cuz its in great condition as for engine... all it needs is a new tranny/hard to find vacuum hose, egr valve and some suspension work... thats it... and they don't know that lol...but the engine runs like it was bought brand new yesterday... it never left me on the side of the road...

Mazda denied my warranty 3 times! I even brought a TSB with me. A TSB is a document issued by mazda that tells the dealer that a common problem exists. Mine was for clutch chatter. I went to 3 different dealers, under warranty and it was denied. Your warranty doesn't mean s***! I can't say it enough times!

I just took my BRAND NEW civic SI in for warranty work because the plastic shroud that goes over the intake manifold was really busted up. I put an intake on the car a week before and guess what they told me? "You're s*** out of luck, you modded the car!"

I've been trying to not say it, and no one else will but me...because that's just the kind of guy I am. Grow up you stupid ****! The MSP you're looking at is worth about 10-11k. I know, I was in the market for one a year ago and looked at an 02, black with 40,000 miles. Without even negotiating....the price was $11,900! And it was immaculate, and mak with the right tach and was unmodded. It's not worth 15k...it's not worth 14k....its not worth 13k....

The only way I would buy that car is if it is $11,000 and they will remove the intake and certify the car. But remember....you don't even have to mod your car to void the warranty...just driving hard, or them thinking you drive it hard will void the warranty.

carfax came out clean... all legit... o and all the info on this thread has been sunked in and reviewed... comes out that the car isn't bad at all... i'm gettin a powertrain warranty that honors all stock parts... then ima hook up the car after i graduate or maybe around spring time, so basically i need this car to run good during the winter... ima get this warranty that does honor all regular repairs and thats it, then its modding time...

Carfax doesn't matter!

If you didn't know....just a random example for you on the glory of carfax. Lets say a car is totalled. The car's value is $10,000 and the wreck totally ***** the car, but only costs $9,999 to fix it. Guess what? That won't show up on carfax...
