OK, so I recently got into the hood to take out my STOCK air intake and clean it. I also took off the mada cover for the TMIC to brush off all of the leaves and bugs it had collected. I was also looking for the EGR valve so I took out the intake piping also. After all was said and done, I took her out for a test drive to see if she performed better with a cleaned intake and TMIC. Everything seemed fine, no CEL or oil or anything. About 10 minutes into driving, while in 2nd gear, I sped up to about 5500 RPM to hear a horn sound! It literally sounded like the HORN OF A CLOWN. It only happens when I press the pedal all the way in. I know this because to test it out, I put it back in 2nd and gave it small amounts of gas until it went to 6000 RPM and no sound came out, then shifted to 3rd and pressed the gas pedal all the way in to hear the sound again...
Did I accidently leave something loose?
Is it my shifter?
This is my first mazda and don't want it to be my last.

LMAO NVM! I figured in out, it was just a leak in my turbo inlet hose. How silly... (cool)

I had a wierd noise as well. It was like a squeling or small honking sound at low idle or rpm like when I gave it a little gas.

But mine went away.. ??? Im gonna check my connections though now that you found yours

Yea loose hose/clamp, I was embarrased to forget something that small and important
