My MP3/Mazdaspeed conversion

Got the header today and put it on after work. The 2 peice design kinda made it a pain tho with the mam midpipe took me awhile to get everything from touching the oil pan or the mid pipe on the cross brace. The tail pipe is close as hell to the rear skirt also I might have to do somethin about that.

2 more I will try to get a sound clip tomorrow too it sounds so much better now just the sound I was looking for with the rb catback.

I dunno im not really liking the thunder header at all it might of took me 3 hrs. Something is still hitting I have to go jack it back up now and find out what ugh.
 
Oh think I got good clearance everywhere now. Took 3 people I had my dad and friend help. I pulled down on the down pipe to get the clearance while my dad tightened the nuts from underneath at the same time while his friend held the wrench up top.

Awesome work! I love the fact that you're able to do everything yourself. I had to get my body conversion done at a very good local Mazda dealership here. I have no knowledge of automotive painting but I really wish I did cuz I have tons of scratches I'd like to repaint.

#1 question: how noticeable are the gains with the headers, intake, MAM midpipe, and RB catback? I have only an intake and plan to get headers soon and possibly a midpipe. I don't have the MP3 ECU though and I'm debating whether I should get it.

Header helped quite a bit with top end it wants to goto redline now and the sound with the racing beat catback is great now. Next im doing the vtcs removal I think this might help alot cause my car felt alot slower after the recall. they put a different intake on it and i think there might be something inside restricting air flow even more then stock. So we will see after I get that done. Thanks for the compliments also. Oh and as far as the mp3 ecm I think it was worth the 250 car seemed to run smoother and pull better on top end.

Got some parts today :). I got the shift knob, Ipod adapter, and gaskets for my intake. I had the radio awhile but I dont think I ever showed how I had it setup with my valentine one display.

Car looks great. The brakes are a nice little thing that will make people think there's just a little bit more than what they see.
 
Man, your spending alot of money on the Pro.....but it looks great though. Any more pics of the interior?

I dont have too much else done to the interior besides the polished guage rings. I got the Ipod adapter installed today but thats hid away in the glove box.
 
I have the same head unit as you (DEH-P7700MP) and the exact same dash install kit :). How do you like the iPod adapter with the 7700? I've considered getting it but heard the Pioneer iPod adapter isn't that great...

I like it you can search by genre, artist, playlist, favorites, title not sure how much better it could be wish it showed the song title but I still like it. Now I have endless music and I dont have to worry about burning a cd :).
 
Installed my intake with vtcs removed friday and a perrin fuel rail im just waiting on new injector o-rings monday and ill take pics then. I think when the dealer put the new intake on they didnt lube them and when i pulled #4 injector out the o ring tore.

Nope most mp3's have alot of miles and I like spending money on my car lol.

LOL why are you trying to discourage him when you have also done a conversion?
