My Mazda Dealership Experience

So here I was getting my car serviced for 3000 miles. Let me mind you that this was my first service so I decided to take it to the Mazda Dealership just as its first. So after I droped it off I was walking around the lot looking over the RX-8s and MSP 2003.5. A sales rep came up to me and started talking to me. I asked him if i could take out the mazdaspeed for a test drive. He said yes after I told him that I owned an mp3. So here he was telling me all about the car, the lsd, the turbo, upgraded cd player and sub, etc. I told him that I was satisfied with my MP3. Then he asked me if I wanted more power and of course I said yes. Little did I know the Mazda dealership I was at is a Mazdaspeed Parts distributor. He told me that he could give me a Mazdaspeed turbo kit all factory installed and backed by warnty complete for $2500. Not bad huh? Now I'm starting to look more into it.... :-D

That`s what i`ve been trying to get my dealership to fall into (Courtesy Mazda, Las Vegas,NV). Unfortunately from what I just found out, my dealership DOES NOT have an MazdaSpeed techs. So...they would`nt be able to any nice fixes like that. From what they told me, they were waiting for two MS techs to come to their store since the begining of the year...and still have yet to recieve them. I found all this out while trying to get them to jump on the Spoolin band wagon and replacing some cheap coolant clamps!

As for my closest MazdaSpeed dealership....I think it`s in Reno.

find out where ur local mazdaspeed distributor is at.

That's About the price equivalent in American as what my Canadaian dealer quoted to Mazdaspeed my MP5, of course for me, it ended up being a better deal just buying the MSP, cause we have tight ass emissions laws here. But now that the car comes with a turbo, it's much easier to pass emissions with tons of mods. I've heard N/A cars converted to Turbo cars have a really tough time passing emissions tests, of course, I know some of the states have like no emissions requirements, damn, Sometimes I wish we could have some of your laws

The thing is, the motors are the same on both Mazdaspeed and MP3 right? or is that the MP3 and the MP5..... I dunno, someone hurry and correct me.

its ok for now because the deal will be around for awhile so other than that, money wise, i'm low on cash. Having a college budget is not that fun... :-(
