It's not loud because you have it recirculated.

But the knock off's don't sound like the real ones. But they are still loud when open vented.

My only suggestions are to just open vent it once to try it, and hear it. You won't wanna recirculate ever again after hearing the bov.

And lose the altezzas homey. As a fellow titanium I beg of you to lose those altezas.

if you dont recirculate then wont the air/fuel mixture be messed up? i thought it screws with the maf.

also the altezzas came with the car and i have kinda grown to em.

Well for one the car will hold boost better since it is a bov, not a bpv. And the car will be a little faster, cuz I've tried recirculating my bov before, and it makes my car so much slower just by doing that alone.

The things you have to watch is stalling. All you have to do is tap the gas when taking it out of gear once or twice as the RPM's start to fall. You have to get used to it. Cuz it will stall unexpectedly sometimes to. The car basically dumps more fuel when the bov is venting because the air thats supposed to be recirculating is going out instead of back in, causing it to try and stall.

But I and many others have been running open vented for years. So it takes a little getting used to but it's worth it for the better boost holding and the sound. You'll be fine though I've been running open BOV since 12,000 miles, I'm now approaching 60,000 miles.

o ok thanks i will try that. also what do you think the whining is? it does it after i reach peak boost, 7 psi, and stay there for a few seconds. it might be when i recirculated the bov because the first day after i finish everything, i didnt have the bov recirculated and it wasnt doing that.

what do you think?

It might have something to do with being recirculated. Cuz a bov shouldnt whine will your boosting.

Should only hear the turbo whining if anything.

from the looks of the on pic of the bov, it looks like your hose is a little kinked, that could have a little to do with your issues.

-i run a turboxs bov non-circulated with no air/fuel problems.

i suggest cutting the supports out on the front bumper in the air dam....just use like a razor blade. i just put my fmic on too and did this it looks much better if u are wanting to leave the grill off

^ yeah i will get around to do that eventually. im kinda mazded out right now. i worked on that thing for like 9 hours straight i really dont feel like messin with it right now haha.

Mine took like 13 hours. I had issues with fitment due to to the foglights. It took a while to get that right. If you end up venting to air you gave to move the MAF. I drove the FMIC with my ssqv venting to air and I would stall out. Once I relocated the MAF to the cold pipe not a single stall and the car feels healthier, and pulls harder

i think the whine is a leak somewhere, does the bov have a gasket? if not there, check all your connections

oh and if u can get it higher it would look better....i had to do some customizing on my corksport to do it...oh and it prolly took me around 8 hours with a buddy

try rotating the pipe that has the bov, it looks as if that would make it lower down so there wouldnt be a kink
