I bought my 2009 Mazda6 i grand touring 2.5 in February, and until today, only a few fit/finish irritations detracted from my enthusiasm for the car.
Although I think the rain sensing wipers are gimmicky, I had them turned on today, and for awhile, they worked properly, but shortly thereafter, they began going in "high" speed, and wouldn't slow down no matter how much I turned the dial. I then pushed the lever to the "high" speed, and back up again, and the wipers worked properly for awhile, before engaging in the high speed on their own once again. I, again, pushed the wiper arm downward and back up, and again, the wipers behaved properly.
During the wiper glitch, the "BSM off" warning light began to flash, and pressing the BSM button had no affect. It finally turned itself off, but shortly thereafter, began flashing again. A little further down the road, it stopped flashing.
I only drove a short distance, so I don't know if this pattern would have continued. I researched this car a long time before buying, and, although I love many things about the car, I'm now more apprehensive than I wanted to feel with a new car.
