My experience on various Mazdaspeed aspects...

Ovbiously you should had felt a difference...
but, i bet, you would had felt a bigger difference in performance and looks had you gone with a FMIC, to each its own, is cool that you are doing mods to your car at all...

not really, a good side mount is actualy better at lower psi , there is less volume for the turbo to have to pressurize

let us know how it turns out

Don't worry, I'll keep everyone posted. If it doesn't work, I'll be asking tons of questions to try and get it to work.

Here's the deal...lower pressure SMIC higher pressure FMIC done deal finito!
i think we said it about a zillion times
but yes, we never used the word FINITO...

FCD Department:
This is one of the mods that i would never do....just because it takes of a nice feature built into tour cars...the ANTI-ZOOM ZOOM BOOM feature

Yes, it might get rid of hesitations and will allow you to boost higher or cold weathers blah blah

but is this little mod worth blowing an engine for?
i dn't think so..
Yea some people have been using it wihtout problems...but they never find out about how much damage they are inflicting on they're engine

lets talk about this cheap, engine-breaking mod...

let the debating begin...

Well tonight I installed my Injen Intake. I had no intention of purchasing this, but I got it for $195, brand new, shipped to my door. Couldn't pass the deal up.

Anyway, my car is 100% bone stock performance wise. Here are some things I noticed after installing the Injen:

1) I noticed absolutely no performance increase (spool time is the same, throttle response is the same, felt no increase in power at all)
2) It makes a lot of noise (flutter/turkey, loud spool)

Overall, I would not make this your first mod. Put the money towards an exhaust, smic or something/ anything else.

Tomorrow my unichip and GHL turboback exhaust will be going in, so it should "bring the best" out of my Injen

People blowing their motors with the FCD are the ones not using it properly.

In your first post you say never to buy coilovers. Do you mean coilovers or coil-sleeves(Skunk2/GroundControl)?

i meant the adjustable piece of s****...sleeves

I've heard TEIN being a brand of choice...
i personally only can say which are bad, cos is what i have...ground control adj coil overs

so i dunno, it would be good if people would input some info about this...

Alejo NIN ... are you running with an open diff? I read that this was the plan after shreading your lsd. How did that work out for you?

What makes the Ground Controls bad in your opinion?

i have the ground control with tokiko illuminas, and the make too much noice and bottom out very easy...

on the LSD, yes...i'm running open diff now, and in a straight line, is the same s*** as the LSD, i just keep myself from gunning it on turns sinc eonly one tire would pull and i'll prolly crash

so far is been good at 10 psi
