My emergency brake button is pushed all the way in?

So the other day my friend is driving the car and he returns it and the emergency brake button to release it is pushed all the way in? It still functions like normal but instead of petruding out of the shift boot plastic thingy its stuck like inside, but you can still push it to release, is there anyways to fix this? (uhm)

The exact same thing happened to me too. For me, as mysteriously and quickly as it happened, it returned to normal. It was maybe 2 weeks after it happened, that it just went away. I have absolutely no idea what i did to make it go away. Just use it normally and it will go away

Probably the plastic handle wrap has slipped forward. Try pushing back on it.

Exactly, happens to me all the time. just slide it back into place.

happened to me too, due to a friend pushing the handle down incorrectly. the grey button on mine got twisted so it didnt line up on its "rails" or whatever they should be called. basically just pull off the handle and look at it. you should see the problem easily.
