my drag times are nowhere near the ones posted here

2088 MSP

PS!
Potential Scammer!
:
03.5 silver MSP
this is on a stock motor, just Injen CAI and a 2.5" catback, plus full tank of gas and 2 10" subs in the back and it was like 90 all day.

what gives? nowhere near the 14.7 seconds or whatever, anyway will do again during winter.

its got 104k on it, stock engine==>6.5psi. i'm not saying i'm the best driver in the world and maybe my shifts could be faster, but if u compare that to the 14.7sec time, that's 7 tenths of a second slower..... and actually the first run was only after 2 shifts, cause it bounced off the limiter in 3rd gear right before the line, and the rest are 3 shifts, so i cant be loosing that much time in 3 shifts. after 104k how much power do u think i got left, assuming regular maintenance?

look at your sixty ft times, gotta get off the line faster without spinning. others were complaining about the track not being prepped right but its all about heat and air pressure. how much tire pressure were you running in the tires?

didnt seem like too much spin, cause it would actually bog down a little before climbing up the RPM's.

too much flaming going on on tallyimports, decided to post here for some clear opinions. oh and yeah arty was running 15.4s as well i should have just gone with him.

P.S.: daily driver tire pressure, so after the 1.5 hour drive up there in the heat tires were just bulging.

yea, you have to lower your tire pressure or something, arty said he was bogging down as well. he was trapping like 98 though

You have a lot to learn about drag racing. My first time ever I ran a 14.4, (in my old Cobra), by my third trip to the strip I was running 13.8s with terrible reaction times. You just have to get better at reacting to the light, hooking up the tires and shifting. It's hard to hook up with FWD.

motor may be a little tired i think....also with 90+++ degree weather, that stock intercooler is almost just as hot as the radiator....intercooler and exhaust go a long way for drag times

Oh wait a minute...you have an exhaust my bad

Weather also makes an enormous impact on each run, wait until it gets below 40 and go back to the track.

the car should respond well in the cold. the reaction time has no effect on your et, but it will def make a difference in who wins and loses the race. you need to play with the tire pressure, work on launching without spinning the tires. hopefully i will be at the track next time and i will help you out. I grew up at the strip so i know how to help dial a car in. my friend took his gutted ek civic coupe with a gsr swap out and couldnt get it to even run in the high 16s because he couldnt launch, i dropped his tire pressure to what was ideal with the wheather and track conditions and told him to leave at lower rpms and pedal it and he ended up with a 15.3x. its insane that its almost a full 2 second difference

i ran 13.87 in my pullied GTP in low 40* weather, you just have to launch without spinning, a little chirp is good though.

Ran a 14.4 @98mph in my dad's GTP....right after i blew my tranny up in my MSP the same night...lol
