my CX got hit!

(pissed) my wife and son were driving last night in rain. she was slowing down, some young kid ran into back of her...only damage was cracked rear bumper reflector, that's it. it looks like whatever holds the reflector is cracked too. no paint damage thank god. my son never woke up although my wife said it felt like he hit hard. the kid begged her not to call cops, said it was his second accident of the day! first 1 he was hit from behind. she immediately called me and cops, i flew there and beat him to a bloody pulp, no kidding... he seemed like a nice kid, all nervous and s***, i just said to him he must have been going fast or following too close...i was really pissed, still am, but damage is minimum and everyone's ok. i was thinking just to fix myself but i think i'll just let insurance take care of it. i don't know why but i don't even want to drive it until it's fixed. i'm 1 ANAL bastard w/ the looks of this and most previous vehicles.

I didnt drive mine either when i was rear ended....I love my speed, and i just couldnt see it on the road looking so violated.

I'm glad to hear everyone is okay. There was a HUGE accident near my house last night (I think - road has been closed a LONG time) and it looks like multiple fatalities. Think of this as a wonderful holiday gift - that everyone is just fine.

Seems lke they alway hit new cars. (pissed)

One of my previous cars was rear-ended on its second day. (shocked)

My friend's wife had hers hit in its first month.(glare)

Makes me want to not buy a new car.

now that i looked at it in day time and no rain, besides the cracked reflector, i notice the bumber has a very slight, barely noticable horizontal 8" crease, still not bad, but worse than just a reflector like i thought. oh well, still not bad, will take for estimate on tues. i can't wait to get it fixed. i don't even want to clean it or vacuum interior like i do each weekend...
