... It would look much better with a set of dark tails (like mine) -- or there's a set of red aftermarket tails that I saw on the forums somewhere, that looked very nice...

Or save yourself a couple of bucks and get some overlays for your stock ones.

Well, I was looking at the pictures and imagined that the body kit was painted, that the altezzas were gone, that it had new wheels, and the spoiler was a little more subtle, and it looked really good. Sooo, good work so far. I'm anxious to see how it all turns out for you.

See ya on the drive

personally its not that bad IMHO. the one thing i really don't like is the chrome taillights. everything else has some promise to it.

Good to see some people posting helpful and friendly info...Looks like this kid needs a helping hand or two...but imagine the result if you guys matched this kids positive attitude with support and guidance...be smiles :D all around!

Keep us updated!

I can't speak for anyone else, but if you guys think we went too far I am sorry. He really needs to go back to the stock seat though, that APC s*** is dangerious, and joking aside that is not cool.

Well, here are my suggestions.

Don't forget the lines of the car no matter what you do. It's the lines that keep everything together, that keep it clean, that keep it looking good.

Also, pick a color theme. For those that know my car, they know that I try to keep things dark. But some people like the brighter tones, like red and yellow. Choose whatever you want. But whatever you do, don't go scattering different hues all over the car, as it will take away from the car's smoothness.

Along those same lines, I highly advise that you get rid of those tails. I have aftermarket tails myself, but I only got them because they go with the rest of my 'color scheme'. Since your car is black, the chrome just .. clashes. It would look much better with a set of dark tails (like mine) -- or there's a set of red aftermarket tails that I saw on the forums somewhere, that looked very nice.

Don't try to take on too many projects at once. I think that might be your main issue. You're trying to do EVERYTHING to the car at the same time -- body kit and suspension and interior and so on. Do one thing at a time, man. It will result in your car not being in pieces for so long, and you'll be able to concentrate more on doing a single mod RIGHT if you're not distracted with doing 30 other things. Know what I mean? Plus, doing one mod at a time allows you to see your car slowly but surely improving -- it's a good feeling.

Good luck!

some good advice man i'll keep that in mind!!

this thread needs more love for someone willing to share their experience with us. in my humble opinion this thread is the essence of what this forum should NOt be about. The car ain't my thing, but then again, it isn't my car. Owner happy > forum happy. Make it pink, with green velvet interior, those cute little Neon "teddy bear" rims, and an exhaust pipe coming out the floor boards through the middle of the rear window. If it makes you happy then do it. Good luck on your pride and joy.

couldnt of said it better myself. see you said its not your style but yet maintained a positve attitude. good s*** dude!!
