what?.... running like s***? ''if'' the cel is from the header it shoudnt degrade performance what so ever. i remember that wonderful cel like it was yesterday. lol not no more.
*f.y.i i drove around with a cel from my header for over 20,000miles on the car and over a years worth of time. with no problems & no degrade in performance.
well...there's one thing that will be worse with the cell light on......and thats gas mpg. after you fix it you will get better mpg

i didnt have time to respond to this really earlier, but the CEL reverts your computer back to the stock fuel mapping and keeps it there...why do we reset our ecus after installing a mod? exactly. thats why its gonna affect performance, because it wont leave the stock fuel map. my setup will change the fuel map.

OK....if you say so(shurgs) but i know for a fact that isnt ture!
who told you this? i was the one of (if not the first) to have had this header. i have had over a years worth of dealing with these headers and i have done many different things to them. i do have one cat so there is some a difference between yours and mine. i did also run my car with no cell fix the whole time until recently. another reason i know this isnt true is while i had the header installed/w cel light on, i ran over the a peice of rubber and it cut the rear o2 wires off completely. i drove like this for 2 months not knowing it, because the car ran fine! tell me this when you first put on the header did you get a cell right away? no....when you got one did you notice any changes on running condition? i didnt...even with on wires hooked up.
i even went out before w/cel and after w/no cel and raced the car at the 1/4 drags and ran consistant times
now after all this happened.... i found a way to get rid of the cel and not have to trick the ecu, no mil eliminators! after i did the fix and reset the ecu i drove the car i noticed NOTHING DIFFERENT AT ALL! belive me or not!...... the only thing that changed was my mpg.

wait u gatta reset ur ecu after a mod is that just for like intake or exhaust ????? lol

yes! i would...... every mod that you do you should reset the ecu so that if there is any changes your ecu will learn them.

i hope you didnt take it wrong...im not calling you a liar. but im just trying to help a fellow member out.:D
''if'' you do feel any changes performance wise let me know!
you will get better gas milage if you fix the cel thats for sure!
hey, i noticed you said you tryed a mil eliminator and it didnt workout. i had the same problem, i bought one for $20.00 from zx2 racing and it didnt even work on my car. that was my reason for going the other route. some mil eliminators work and some dont i guess.

Hum, new name Mattew. Your gas milage sucks 'cause you are reving the engine harder, remember ;)

My milage went to hell with the turbo. Cant seem to get the foot of the gas :D I have put over $70 in gas this week
