haha.. the subject was suggested by Stealth5.

At the car show yesterday my car was idling for a long time to power the carputer.. after a few hours when I reved the engine the exhaust squirts out a stream of water.. it goes about 5 ft and soaks everything in its path.. we tried to get a picture of it but it doesnt show just how much water comes out:

None of the other Protege's that were left on did this.. and nobody knew exactly why my car generated so much water... any thoughts? it wasnt just a little.. if I kept my foot on the gas I would get a constant stream for minute..

a side effect of gasoline combustion is H20, that's why exhaust feels moist and some cars have water dripping out of their tailpipes

I understand a little water dripping out.. and it did this at the last show too and it wasnt cold outside... This is literally a STREAM of water.. It stumped all of the guys in out Protege crew, and some work on engines for a living...

Crazy, did you recently wash your car maybe some water got trapped in your exhaust and you just happened to be there at the right moment to see it come out. I am grasping at straws really. I could send you a pamper or two if you need:)

Nope.. I dont use a hose while washing my car, and I cleaned it the night before... Plus the drive there was a good 45 min.. and the car had been running for a couple hours idleing before we revved it.. I knew it was going to spew out water.. it did it last time I let it run for a while..

I just dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing...

Look at the ground.. it was soaked for about 5 feet.
