My car feels fast enough AND talk about balance

My car is stock now. The thing is it feels fast enough..I mean it as is fast as I need it and I am happy with its performance speed wise. But yet I feel I should have the mod bug and mod my car...? Maybe I just havent driven a fast enough car to appreciate how much better a "FAST" car would be..but the MSP to me is adequate. Does any one else feel this way?
Also..to those who have modded their cars I have a question. As we all the MSP is a well balanced car and I am wondering if those who have made mods that made their car faster have lost that balance of the MSP?? Im curious as to this interplay b/c I read a article where the Mazda engineers said they didn't want to make the Mazdaspeed Miata too fast b/c it would lose its "balance". Was the same thinking used for the MSP???

I would say if you're happy with it, don't mess with it.

I'm messing with mine because I would like a little more zoom-zoom to go with the handling.

Yeah, if you're happy, leave it alone. You'll find as you peruse these threads that the majority of people who have major problems are tweaking the boost. That's okay if you don't mind warranty being voided and have plenty of money. (In fact, more power to them. I like seeing our cars pushing the envelope, as long as it's not mine,) But if you leave the boost alone, drive responsibly and keep it properly maintained, I think you'll get many, many miles of reliable service. By balanced people are talking about pefect assortment of power/handling/looks...I don't think they mean physical balance like the car is going to tip over or something.
