if you say so. ive sold 10 year old mustangs many many times at the dealership, some with well over 100k miles. the only problems we EVER had was that mustangs have a tendency to bust door pins after a while which is not expensive and only takes a few hours to fix.

I can back that up just with my experiences. I had a 79 5.0 that I drove for 135k trouble-free miles. Also had an 87 that went for 148k and the only problem was a door pin and the door handles breaking. Both cars had zero mechanical problems and then only things ever replaced were fuel and water pumps.

did i mention that every one we sold that worked with no problems would smoke any car on this forum, just like the above one? then again, they didnt clunck, hesitate, or have ****** up stereos on the way to the finish line either.

I'm with Matt and Monstermile on this one.

My friend has an 86 5.0, with about 250,000 miles on it. Not really certain anymore, as his speedo/odometer don't work anymore. Why doesn't he fix it? I dunno, lol. But the car is great, and it sounds freakin' awesome, and it smokes my car. Heheh.

As for the door issue, I think there is an aftermarket company that now markets kits to fix that pretty easily.

certain mustangs CAN BE nice but that body style blows not to mention it looks like every piece of the body kit is a differant style... yes i read it is one entire kit but it looks like s***. i dont agree with a single styling mod he did but ya i guess it is fast.... myabe i should have bought a mustang
