Talked to my claims person from the insurance company today. She said that theres a good chance that my car will NOT be totalled due to the year and the mileage on the vehicle. Someone is going to actually look at it tomorrow or the next day. Lets hope they agree with her.

Well I've almost got her back, but the guy at the body shop said the people in North Carolina sent him a sedan front bumper instead of a P5 front bumper. Aren't they exactly the same? I thought they were, but I guess I'm wrong, so I have to wait till tuesday to get her back. This ****** blows.

Ohhh, I'm thinking about the MSP's without the lip and the MP3s. Yeah, would not like that on my car. I remember a thread where someone wanted it on their P5. Not sure why tho.

So I guess they can't find a bumper for my car now. They being the body shop. So I don't know when I'll get her back. I was wondering if anyone on here is getting rid of their bumper or know anyone who is. I know I should post this in the WTB forum but I will if I have no other options. Just help a brotha out.
they can't find a p5 bumper for your car? what ****hole do you live in? just call the dealership and order.
the bodyshop is giving a run around, i don't know for what purpose. possibly to charge more your insurance company. either way you are getting screwed. call your insurance and complain. then call your local better business bureau

I think they are trying to find it used or something so they can keep the dividend of what a new one cost. If I don't have her back by Friday, I'm going give em all kinds of hell. It'll be a whole month in the shop on the 19th.
And no, the airbag did not go off, thank god, otherwise I might be in the hospital or something. The airbag in my aunts car gave a broken nose, shoulder, and second degree burns on a good part of her body. I did kind of feel like one of those crash test dummys you see on Dateline or whatever. I wasn't wearing a seatbelt, stupid me, and my whole body kind of stayed in an L shape and just kinda went forward. My head hit the sun visor/vanity mirror thing, but I wasnt hurt. I'd rather have a broken arm than be without my car tho.:-\

I hate to say it, but Be VERY wary of what the bodyshop does. Was it a lowest bidder kind of situation? or did oyu get to pick? Whatever way it is, I'd definately go over it with a fine toothed comb and then some. When youdo get it back, get closeup pics of EVERYTHING, and post them up here just so you cna have a thousand other p5-familair eyes help you out, also search the forums a bit about bodyshop horror stories. Alot of time the impact that can cause that kind of damage is also enough to knock other things loose or whatever.

Try to get them to buy an MSP or MP3 bumper. They don't have the stupid little side turn signals.

Well I was planning on shaving the side turn signals anyway. The orange disrupts the flow of the car.
We got to pick the bodyshop, because my mom knows the owner and stuff. Oh trust me, I'm going to take pictures so I have before and afters, and I'm going to look at EVERYTHING. I thought this body shop wasn't going to be gret but I'm not getting such a great vibe anymore.

Spoke to the body shop manager today, straightened things out. They have the bumper and theyre putting the finishing touches on the car and everything and she will be ready tomorrow!! Man, am I excited. I haven't her in almost a month. I'm going to go out, fill her up, and find the curviest road within 50 miles.

SHES BACK! I picked her up today from the body shop and shes looking as good as ever. They painted the WHOLE top grill white, which I don't mind so much. I'm leaving it on there, maybe it'll grow on me. They also put in MSP headlights with the black housing because they knew it'd look sweet. I dont really like the orange corner lense tho, anyway to change it? Anyways, I'm happy now, and I will post pics tomorrow. Thanks for all the support! Haha, I feel like I'm in some type of support group...oh wait, I am. Mazdaholics Anonymous.
