hey everyone,
i have have an 04 mazda3 on its 3rd transmission since replacing the clutch at 50,000 miles. I replaced clutch with a SR Motorsports clutch and flyweel. When the dealer installed the clutch they forgot the lower torque arm motor mount bolt and my motor was shaking around about 6 inches for about a week without me knowing about. Right after i got the mount replaced is when the 1st tranny went out. Had that replaced and it didnt feel right. Something felt loose and it wasnt going into gear very smooth. About a 2 months later i broke the case mount and cracked the case on that one. Now im on my 3rd tranny and it is starting to feel just like the other. I took it into a shop for them to find out why it went through two trannies in 2 months and they couldnt tell me why.
One thing i know is that it has some SEVERE wheel hop and i dont know if that couild be responsible for 2 trannies. I took it back to the shop because it feels like its not shifting very good and also wanted to get the wheel hop checked. Now they are telling me that the control arms need to be replaced. If they were bad could they cause the trannies to go out?
