Yeah $28k Canadian. So I'm guessing when all is said and done it'll be around $34k taxes, freight, and extended warranty included. Hopefully not more than 3.9-4.9% interest come October. We'll see how it all plays out.

Hmmmm......the GTI is actually a couple $k cheaper than I thought it was, but I still don't find it comparable in any way to the MS3.

You're right, Its hard to argue the 60 hp difference. I'm sure both interiors are similarly equipped. Also on the VW, if you don't opt for the $3000 luxury package, you're stuck with some seriously ugly plaid seats.

Plaid seats are t3h hotness. But in every category (except looks and possibly interior quality, IMO) the MS3 should seriously own the Volkswagen unless you're really into luxo-hatches.

I remember seeing those plaid seats in mid-90s GTIs but beyond that I had no idea they were always around. Personally, I think they're ugly but thats just me.
