Hello all,

Looking for a new ehaust system. Kinda new to high performance parts and such (first car I've owned that is somewhat easy to mod). What I am looking for is a good performance muffler that is not loud. I don't want that Harley sounds coming from the car. Also, is it okay to just get a decent muffler, or should I go with more exhaust system stuff. Let me know specifics and places to buy, as I am just getting started here.

Thanks

Just a muffler won't do anything for your performance. If you have the $$$, just get a full catback system.

No, I know that just a muffler is not going to give me the performace boost, but what is entailed in a full catback system? How hard is it to install and how much are we talking in $$$?

for a few hundred bucks and about 20 mins of your time, with the right tools, your done. i have the Racing Beat cat back and i like it a lot!

im gettin the Mazda speed axle back just gatta wait for the exhaust to come and it shouldnt take long it didnt take me long to do it to my old old old car 87 supra it took like 20-30 min

im spending like 200-220 for the ms exhaust but u gatta get a new uhhhggg DAMMIT cant think of the name it goes between the cat and the exhaust piece there like 2 3 bucks

cat-back= An exhaust system that goes from the Catalytic converter all the way back to the exhaust tip.

Axel back= from the rear axel, back

I have a MS axelback, and I really like it. It ain't quiet, though.;)

Sorry to be a pain in the ass mod, but we are trying to clean up all the forums to make it easier to search for items, and less cluttered. In the future, please post in the appropriate forum...example - Intakes, dispite being for the Protege5, belong in the performance section. Buying a carbon fiber hood for your Protege5 belongs in the Appearance section. If you raced someone in your Protege5 it still belongs in the Racing/Motorsports section. If you have any questions, comments, or complaints, feel free to PM me at any time.

Thanks again for your patience as we clear up the forums to make it better for you!

Off to the performance section with this thread.
