what is the best bet for a performance muffler to go with a catless full custom exhaust, something that flows well and sound good without any ricy farting, and not too ear shattering loud either

hks is supposed to be on the quieter side. if any muffler gets buzzy on you or too loud, put a resonator on.

ewww magnaflow. You might as well have bout a frikin v-8 pushrod POS. You own an import, stick with import performance parts. You cant trust a company that has made v-8 s***, to properly make sport compact s***, right out of the gate.

i got a JIC muffler on my custom exhaust. I have high flow cats and it is still loud, but not ricey loud. Nice and deep. I plan on adding a resonator soon. I am very happy with the look and sound so far.

actually magnaflow isn't that bad. my friend has one on his turbo civic....i was really surprised. very deep semi-loud tone. reminded me of the tanabe racing medallion he used to have on it. but seriously, if the muffler you choose sounds buzzy, just put a resonator on it. but so long as you stay away from the $20 s***, you'll be fine. then again, ac revolution mufflers sound nice too.....

I think the Magnaflow is a great choice. I had one on my Talon along the a 3" turbo-back exhaust and it sounded amazing. It had a real nice deep sound. Nothing like the Civics you here buzzing around the streets.

Check out the sound clip of the Miata I'm sure it'll give you a pretty good idea of what it will sound like on your car.
