Were you at the mini meet on rt 9 a few months back, sorry just curios there.

Before just listing equipment out I find it better to examine some questions first.
1. What do you like and dislike about the system you have? Do you like how it sounds?
2. Is there something specific you wished it would do?
3. What other systems did you hear that you liked?

no I didnt have my MSP then, but I wish i could have gone... anyways.. i am moderately inmpressed with the sound quality of the speakers, but am looking for them to be louder, and with more bass... I thought a speaker amp and a sub amp and 2 eclipse 10's would be nice... if i can come up with the money... do you think the "stock" speakers can give me what I want or should i replace them too... i have roughly 1000$ but wouldnt like to spend it all since i have monthly payments on my car and a "low income" im only 17 so money is a b**** to get... thanks

If you like the way they sound now and being on a limited budget then you should probably stay with them for now atleast and try them with a seperate amp.
Your right on that POS sub has to go. Rip the b**** out.
Which eclipse subs are you talking about since they have several levels? The aluminums will cost $600 alone and they want 500 watts rms apiece. The smallest amp I would feel confident on using would be the JL 500/1. If your internetting it then go for the JBL 1200.1 the 600.1 doesn't have enough ballz for the aluminums.
Any prefernece on amps?
I would personaly only power the front speakers from the amp and leave the rears off the deck. That will give you a much beter sound stage and save you some cash.

To give you some background on myself, I never internet shop audio equipment unless it is authorized by the manufacturer, typicaly it is not. Also for even a midline sub system $1000 isn't alot to work with so we are probably going to need to go entry level but with a good brand of amp and sub.

Heres what i would do for the best small:
2 JL Audio 10 W0s in custom box will cost $450.
2 Kenwood KAC-7251 amplifiers for $220 each.
The power wires and RCAs will run about $140 depending on the quality of RCAs you want.

For a less expensive option:
You already have a kenwood KAC-629S amp powering the 8" Sub. You can swap that over to your front speakers to get 60 watts rms to each of the front speakers.
So
Kenwood KAC-629S - $0
3 JL audio 10W0s in a prebuilt JL box -$450
Kenwood KAC-7251 2 channel amp - $220
again wiring will be aroun $150

Enjoy.

OK 2 F-Ups here ones mine ones yours :D
2 JL 10W0s in a prebuild box will only be $300 as JL make a nice box. I ment to list "3" JL 10W0s for the price of $450. OOPs

Your mistake was even considering bass blocker which are about the most useless peices of crap anyways. However those kenwood amps have high pass crossovers which is all a bassblocker pretends to be. The Kenwoods crossover is far superior to the bass blocker in every way. On a down note the highpass is to higha frequency for my tastes but I believe the MSP headunit has them built in aswell so we can use those. I will look more into the radios crossovers.

I live by Manchester but work in the Salem NH Tweeter, come see me and I'll take care of you.

Sony amps unless more then 3 years old aren't worth it even if they are free. The PPi subs I don't know about. Make dam,n sure it all works before buying any part of it. If its not installed make them set it up and shw you it all works.
