I had the same thing happen to me today, but it was an SRT-4. I cannot believe how he had no disregaurd for anybody safety. (uhm) We were in bumper to bumper traffic, fog, heavy rain and I had 4 people in the car one of them being my 4 yr old son. At first I gave him a thumbs up to let him know " yes, I know what an SRT-4 is", but he didn't care. He kept fighting to stay next to me and was constantly rev'ing his engine and that "let's race" stuff .funnylittlman said:Some dude in a Silver Spec (02) was tryin to mess with me next friday.. flicking his lights and being gay.
I just let him pass.... how are you suppose to race in bumper to bumper traffic? I had about 1 car lenght in front of me the whole time, and he had that and maybe a little more.
G A Y !
BTW, Boost is right, stock for stock it's a driver's race
Lol, thanks for being one of the good guys. Theres still stuff we don't like over here. Me personally am disgusted by Hondas, (gun) Good to know some people that own other brands visit the board. Kudos to you, sir.Yell03SpecV said:Wow, you guys are pretty cool about respecting other cars! As a Spec-V owner I am still an MSP fan, in fact a good friend of mine has a Black 2003. VERY nice car. The level of refinement is obvious through the interior, exterior, and especially the paint (any Spec owner will testify to that). The sound system is great, and the handling is nothing but exceptional. Nice car for the money, sometimes wish i would have bought one! But, i'm happy with the Spec-V.
Anyways, back on topic.
The MY04 Spec-V's run similar 1/4 Mile traps to the MY03, and a bit better than the MY02. However, they are responding to bolt ons much better than the previous models, a guy on B15sentra.net ran a 14.4 @ 96ish mph with just exhaust and intake. The reason for this is mostly because of a knock sensor that is not overly sensitive. On the other hand, the 04s are FUGLY. And yes, the B15 twist beam rear suspension is known for the ability to 3-wheel, i do it all the time during Solo2 events.
Stock for stock, it will indeed be a driver's race, and since i cannot speculate on the capabilities of a modded MSP, i wont even compare it to a modded Spec-V. I'm just not sure what kind of numbers some people on here are making. Oh well.
Again, kudos to you guys for being a lot cooler than most other new sport compact owners, namely the folk over at clubRSX. If anyone has any questions regarding the Spec-V feel free to ask!

Yell03SpecV said:first off, your buddy needs a header, that "gutted precat" doesnt sound good. do you mean the secondary? if he hacked away at his precat, do a compression check ASAP, it will most definitely be breaking apart.
I mean the the catalytic converter that's integrated to the stock exhaust manifold not the one in the midpipe. He cleaned that one up. Why would doing that cause the main catalytic to fail?, or his engine for that matter? Assuming he did a god job of cleaning everything up, I don't see what the damage would be.
In any case when we took the upstream o2 sensor off to check things we found that the precat element was starting to fail. IMO, having that desintegrate back into his engine, or going down the exhaust and clogging the secondary cat would do real damage.

just trust me, lol
It depends on what you mean by innacurate. If you mean innacurate when compared to real dragstrip times, then yes. But when used as a reference tool to rate the effect of mods it can be very useful.Yell03SpecV said:g-tech is very inaccurate for cars running high 14s to low 16s. unless it is the new version.
