Stock vs stock you should own a spec V.
Not in this world. "Own" is pretty much stretching it.

Ive race the Spec V and it was 3 runs... all 3 I won by 3/4 - 1 car length in about 1/8 mile... Cant doubt 3 times in a row... MSP rules!!! and my mods are below (uhm)

Has anyone raced a 2004 nissan spec V . I've heard that they are pretty quick and my orom mate just got one, but we haven't been able to race yet b/c its still in break-in stage. Just curios what i'm up against. thanks for all your info. BTW i'm all stock. (scratch)
lol i lost to a spec-v with a catback when i was stock...drivers race..ima bad launcher i think..
run that sheet...and let us know

I've also driven both cars extensively. I work on BLU BY U's car, he's my buddy, and also have a very good friend who has a Spec V (I also work on his car).

I agree with what has been said. Stock for stock they are pretty close, but the edge in handling (assuming equally skilled drivers) definitely goes to the MSP in my opinion. The MSP looks much better too if you ask me. Now, turn up the boost on the MSP and it's totally different story, right BLU BY U? (wink)

Those are the same mods that we did to my friends Spec V. We always do a couple of Gtech runs (we do it for reference only, don't need to hear the G-tech is not the same as going to the track speech) His best that day was a 15.13. So it goes inline with what your friend ran.

Alright, alright you got me, lol

yah, i have actually only seen him run the 15.1, but he said with less full tank and cooler day he broke 15

I think is definitely possible for a Spec V with those mods to run a 14.9, maybe even less. We shouldn't get too hung up on straight line acceleration when talking about the Spec V though, it just wasn't built for that purpose.

A friend of mine with a Spec V ran a 14.4-5 with 18" RH C5s on his ride. His mods were intake, header, exhaust, flywheel and I believe pulleys.
